It’s been a minute since Justin Timberlake dropped his double, 20/20 Experience LP in 2013, but the wait is almost over.
In a vague, yet detailed video, Timberlake announced Man of the Woods, due out February 2, with a new single coming on January 5.
“This album is inspired by wife, my son, my family and more than any other album I’ve written– where I’m from. It’s personal,” JT shared on Instagram.
Timberlake told 97.1 AMP Radio’s Morning Show in 2016, “I think where I grew up in America has a lot of influence,” he said. “Growing up in Tennessee — very central of the country — Memphis is known as the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll, but also the home of the blues, but Nashville’s right down the street so there’s a lot of country music.”

Which means, maybe Chris Stapleton will be on the album? Maybe? He has also said he wouldn’t call the project country, but more– Southern American music, which is…country?
Timberlake also confirmed in 2016 that he was working with Timbaland, Pharrell, Max Martin and Shellback– all big-time pop and R&B producers. But, remember– Pharrell produced an entire Little Big Town album, too. And guess who was there? JT.
