Kane Brown is leading the way for country music artists after receiving 3 nominations at the American Music Awards.
Kane garnered nominations in the Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album and Favorite Song (“Heaven”) categories. The Georgia native will be vying for the Favorite Male Artist against heavyweights Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett.
Close behind Kane, with 2 noms each are Thomas Rhett, FGL , Dan+Shay, and Maren Morris, who picked up a nomination outside of the country category for “The Middle,” with Zedd and Grey.
Absent from the list is Keith Urban who ran away with 3 wins last year, at the 2017 American Music Awards for Ripcord. And the surprise nod goes to LANCO in the Favorite Duo or Group category in lieu of Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Brothers Osborne.
