Kane Brown promised fans new music was on the way and the country singer more than delivered with his latest release, “Weekend.” Ahead of the track’s reveal on Aug. 7, Kane gave fans the option of hearing one of two songs, “Work” or “Weekend.” Seventy-three percent voted for “Weekend” and those fans got their wish.

A sultry summer jam, “Weekend” has Kane singing of all the fun he and his lady can have on the weekend. Slick beats and Kane’s rhythmic singing style blend country and R&B vibes for a memorable track that sticks with the listener long after the song is played.

“Three days just ain’t enough and time’s ticking’ / So keep that cherry red lipstick sticking on me,” Kane croons on the track. “Just chillin’ on the weekend / Sipping something on the cheap end / Skinny dipping in the deep end / Or bass fishing with your feet in.”

“Weekend” follows Kane’s previous No. 1 hit “Heaven” and the follow-up single “Lose It.” He’ll release his sophomore album on Nov. 9, which follows the success of his 2016 self-titled debut. That project featured his previous two chart toppers, “Heaven” and “What Ifs.”

Kane had much to celebrate at a recent No. 1 party in Nashville, including his platinum debut album as well as two gold-selling songs with “There Goes My Everything” and “Found You.” Additionally, he was honored with plaques for his double platinum chart topper “Heaven” and triple platinum No. 1 hit “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina.

When Kane’s not prepping his new album or receiving countless awards, he and his fiancée, Katelyn, show off their dance moves with fun clips on Instagram. Recently, the couple shared their interpretive dancing to Drake’s “In My Feelings.” This isn’t the first time Kane and Katelyn have shown their moves. The couple previously posted a video in January dancing to “Me & U” by Cassie.
