Kane Brown has garnered his third consecutive No. 1 single with “Lose It.” The Gold-certified track lands at the top of both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard Country Airplay charts this week. It previously hit No. 1 on Billboard ‘s Hot Country Songs chart, interrupting Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha’s history-making 50-week hit “Meant to Be.”
“Thanks country radio, my fans, and my whole team who works with me,” Kane shares on Instagram. “Love you guys.”
Kane co-wrote “Lose It” with Chase McGill and Will Weatherly. It is the first single off of the singer’s No. 1 sophomore album, Experiment, released last month.
“When we were in the studio working on this album, I knew we had songs that I was incredibly proud to put on the record . . . that felt different, but still said what I wanted to say,” he says in a statement. “‘Lose It’ was one of the first songs we recorded, over a year ago. I knew I wanted it to be the first single off the record, but never could have predicted the way people have embraced it. Thank you to everyone in country radio, to my fans and my team for all of the support.”
The Georgia native has much to celebrate this year. In addition to getting married and having three consecutive chart topping singles with “Lose It,” “Heaven,” and “What Ifs” under his belt, Kane also made history with his latest album. When Experiment debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart last month, he became the only male country artist in 24 years to debut on top of the chart with a sophomore release.
The singer’s last No. 1, “Heaven,” was also recently honored by Variety Magazine as one of the most-streamed songs of the year in all music genres.
