Kane Brown dropped his fiery new single, “Lose It,” on Thursday (June 7), just hours before his performance at CMA Fest. The infectious three-minute pop-country jam combines soaring guitar and banjo features alongside the singer’s booming vocals.

An arena-ready anthem with ear-grabbing production, it was only fitting that Kane decided to allow country fans to experience the live debut of “Lose It” during his Nissan Stadium performance at 2018 CMA Fest in Nashville. His first time on the main stage, Kane was at ease singing the new tune as 60,000 people in attendance watched.

“Lose It,” written by Kane, Chase McGill and Will Weatherly, will impact country radio on June 25. The feel-good summer jam has the Georgia native singing of how a girl has his heart skipping a beat.

I don’t think you know what you’re doing to me, you got / My heart skip-skipping a beat tonight / Close enough to there’s space between / You and me, let’s lose it / The way you’re dancing, swaying to the music / Girl, that body and how you move it / Every time you cross my mind / Girl, I lose it / Yeah, I lose it / Yeah, I lose it,” he belts on the chorus.

“Lose It” is the first taste of new music from Kane and the lead single to his forthcoming yet-to-be-titled sophomore album, due out Nov. 9. His single comes on the heels of winning his first-ever award at the 2018 CMT Music Awards last week where Kane took home the prize for Collaborative Video of the Year for his duet “What Ifs” with Lauren Alaina.

Kane’s “Lose It” follows the success of his previous two chart toppers, “Heaven” and “What Ifs.” Both songs are featured on his 2016 debut, Kane Brown.
