After dealing with some very tragic news of the death of his drummer, Kane Brown needed something to lift his spirits. That something is the impending arrival of his baby girl, King, with wife Katelyn Jae.

The singer took to Instagram to share a video of the completed baby nursery that awaits Kane’s first daughter.

“We have had some super rough days lately.. but this puts a smile on my face ❤️ Kings rooms finished 🔥,” Kane writes in the post alongside a video of the decorated nursery.

In the nursery, we can see a photo of a lion with a crown adorning the wall, in reference to the King of the jungle, along with high vaulted ceilings, trees on the walls and King’s name in neon over the crib. Looks like little King will be welcomed in style.

Kane’s longtime friend and drummer, Kenny Dixon, passed away in a car accident on Saturday, October 12. In a statement, Kane’s team confirmed the news.

“It is with profound sadness and disbelief that we confirm we lost our drummer Kenny this weekend in a tragic car accident. It goes on to say, ”Kenny was a member of our family from the very beginning and our hearts are with Sarah, his son, and everyone who knew and loved him. He was truly one of the greatest and kindest people on and off stage we’ve ever known.”

Soon after, Kane appeared on CMT’s Artists of the Year to accept his award and dedicate it to his drummer. In his tearful speech Kane said, “I want to dedicate this to my drummer Kenny. He started with me coming out of Chattanooga off Facebook. People didn’t think we would make it. He was with me the whole time. He was so supportive of me. I love you man, I miss you. The band misses you.”

Kane announced that he and wife Katelyn, who married in 2018 were expecting a baby girl in May, as they walked the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards.
