Kane Brown and Khalid will drop their collaboration “Saturday Nights” on January 11, and the two singers are sharing a snippet of the track with fans.
“Jan 11th!!! Listen to a sneak peak…. so excited to be apart of this with @thegr8khalid,” Kane captions a brief clip of the song posted to Instagram. The track has Kane’s vocals at the forefront alongside distinct beats and a lyric that draws the listener in.
“Saturday nights / Your work shoes are stilettos / Smell of cheap perfume / Makeup on your face tryin’ to hide the pain / All the lies look like the truth / Deep in your heart all you want is love / But you never felt good enough / You got wrapped up in other plans / But this ain’t the way the story ends,” he sings.
Later, he shares a photo of himself as a young boy seated in a chair at his home in Georgia.
“My self as a little guy just sittin waiting on the @thegr8khalid and @kanebrown_music track to come out tonight at midnight,” he writes.
This is far from the first time Kane has shared a throwback photo or video of himself with fans. In a video posted earlier this month, a 12-year-old Kane is seen covering Tim McGraw’s 1995 chart topper “I Like It, “I Love It.” The video, dated July 23, 2005, shows an awkward Kane kicking off the song with some technical difficulties before getting comfortable and belting the Tim McGraw classic.
While fans are anxiously anticipating new music from Kane to be released tonight, the singer has other plans for the evening. He’ll kick off his Live Forever Tour tonight in Duluth, Ga. The headlining trek continues through March.
