Recently, a group of talented teen songwriters and musicians had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join country superstars Keith Urban and Vince Gill on stage in front of 10,000 fans at Bridgestone Arena.
Performing a song they had written during a songwriting class called Words in Music, a program created by the Country Music Hall of Fame, the young artists tore up the stage and ended up earning a standing ovation from the crowd.
And let us tell you, these kids definitely deserved it.
When asked why they take time out of their busy schedules to hang out with and mentor these kids, Keith replied, “Because people did that for me when I was growing up,” and Vince replied, “At that age, if you can get a kid fired up about doing something, man, it’s the key.”
The two also described the songwriting bliss that comes with “creating something out of nothing” — a feeling they want all kids to experience for themselves.
Well, to us, it looks like these talented young musicians and artists are already well on their way to songwriting success.
