Country music’s very own Keith Urban had a front row seat to the biggest moment in Oscars history.
Keith and wife Nicole Kidman was sitting in the front row when Faye Dunaway announced that “La La Land” had won Best Picture and when Warren Beatty took the microphone to explain why they didn’t initially announce the correct winner, “Moonlight.”
At the No. 1 party celebrating Keith’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” the singer-songwriter admitted that at first he thought there was something wrong with the transmission.
“We were all in shock,” Keith told One Country and other media outlets. “I was sitting next to Octavia Spencer and we were walking out and I said, ‘Octavia, do you want to wait a bit to see if ‘Hidden Figures’ actually won?”
