Kellie Pickler encounters many strange animals and people as host of the daytime talk show “Pickler & Ben.”
On a recent episode, Kellie got up close and personal with a seven-foot python. Animal expert Matt Wright appeared on the show with the reptile and a few other critters to share with the audience.
The co-hosts tried to convince an unsuspecting audience member to face their fear and come down to hold the snake. When asked to participate with the slithery serpent, not one audience member wanted volunteered. Kellie, who revealed she doesn’t have a fear of snakes and actually owned a snake called Boots back in 2009, was the lucky victim who got play around with the snake.
It was just a matter of time before the snake made itself comfortable around Kellie’s neck, later wrapping up her arms as well.
“You look like a really nervous Brittany Spears,” Ben joked referring to the pop stars use of a Python in her 2001 VMA performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U.”
Kellie was at ease with the python as it worked it’s way around her body, as snakes like to do. “Oh, well, getting a little handsy there,” she said. While the “Red High Heels” singer isn’t afraid of snakes, she did reveal that spiders are what send her running for the hills.
Lucky for her, the next animal to be revealed was an Autsralian bird, the Kookaburra. Now that’s more our speed.
