Kelly Clarkson Stuns with Powerful Performance of “Fancy” in Honor of Friend Reba McEntire


It was a night to praise Reba McEntire as she was honored by the 41st Annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington D.C. and Kelly Clarkson was on hand to do just that.

As Reba was being honored in the Dec. 2 ceremony, which aired Wednesday night, along with Cher, Wayne Shorter, Philip Glass and the creators of “Hamilton” Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Alex Lacamoire and Andy Blankenbuehler, Kelly Clarkson took the stage to pay tribute to her friend and family member.

“Thank you so much, Reba for listening to me vent as an artist. Thank you so much for comforting me on the phone through my tears like a friend,” Kelly said, choking up. “And thank you for being a really rad grandma for my kids. I love you so much. I hope you enjoy this song. Don’t judge me.”

Kelly broke into a powerful rendition of Reba’s hit “Fancy, doing the superstar proud. Reba could be seen smiling, clapping and cheering as her daughter-in-law honored her with a classic vocals.
