When you’re Kelsea Ballerini and you go back to your hometown in Knoxville Tennessee, what do you do? Well… apparently you find the nearest high school and crash their prom.
Earlier that week, Kelsea sent out a Tweet about her hometown and dropping a not so subtle hint that she may crash a prom that night. “Knox- it’s been too long,” she wrote. “May crash a prom tonight to celebrate being home.”
Ballerini did just that surprising the students and Bearden High School when she dropped by to hang out with the class of 2018.
After Bearden High School took to Twitter to thank the rising star, Kelsea immediately responded by saying, “Thanks for the spontaneous prom crash.” Kelsea gave those students a prom to remember.
In 2017, Kelsea also returned to her hometown to perform a concert at her alma mater, Central High School. While there, the 22-year-old stood on the stage where she was once a student and presented the High School Choral Department with a check for $20,000, with the support of the Academy of Country Music.
The Tennessee native will hit the road this summer as part of Keith Urban’s Graffiti U Tour, kicking off June 15.
