Shania Twain is the top-selling female country music artist of all-time. Her catalog of songs includes multiple, if not dozens, of songs that people grew up singing in the mirror. But, for some reason the one song that seems to always make its way to the stage in every form imaginable is her “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” hit from 1997.
After writing it, Twain told Billboard, “That song started with the title, then it kind of wrote itself. The whole expression is a celebration of being a woman these days, I think we’re kind of spoiled in a lot of ways, with the advantages we have. Feminists may not feel that way, but I do. It’s pretty darn fun to be a woman.”
And never have Kelsea Ballerini, Meghan Trainor and Jill Scott had more fun singing than when they took the stage together for CMT’s Artist of the Year performance where they sang “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” for Twain, who was being honored as the Artist of a Lifetime.
