Country’s hot new band LANCO—consisting of members Eric Steedly, Brandon Lancaster, Tripp Howell, Jared Hampton and Chandler Baldwin —was at Nashville’s BMI Thursday (Jan.4) to celebrate their first No. 1 hit, “Greatest Love Story.”
Written by lead singer Brandon Lancaster, “Greatest Love Story,” is about two young people falling in love and parting, only to realize that they always belonged together. It’s the second single from the bands upcoming album, Hallelujah Nights, due out Jan. 19.
As family, friends and colleagues gathered for the celebration, they were treated by a rockin’ performance by the five member band. The guys were later surprised with a Platinum plaque, certifying that the “Greatest Love Story” had reached 1 million single sales, making LANCO the only country band to receive a platinum single prior to the release of their debut album.

One Country’s Kelly Sutton, chatted with LANCO prior to the party to talk about their latest hit.
“I wrote that song a few years ago before we had a record deal. I wrote this song and brought it to the guys and put some music around it. It’s been really cool to watch a song— a story you wanted to tell— and seeing how many lives it impacts and how many people just had a special place for it in their lives,” Brandon told One Country. ” It’s just a life-changing song and most importantly it’s created so many fans and exposed so many people to the rest of our music.”
