After celebrating the success of their first No. 1 single, “Greatest Love Story,” LANCO is back at work releasing their second single, “Born To Love You.”
The uptempo tune, written by lead singer Brandon Lancaster, Ross Copperman, Ashley Gorley and Josh Osborne, is the second release from the band’s upcoming debut album, Hallelujah Nights, due out January 19.
“‘Born To Love You’ tells another piece of LANCO’s story…who we all are, the small towns we came from and the search for what the world has to offer,” said lead singer Brandon Lancaster. “This song brings together those early experiences with finding that person who makes it all matter…the person that you were born to love. We spent a couple of weeks writing this one, and in the studio, we got to explore a lot of different sounds on it.”
“I could search the world from south to north / But I’ve already found what I’m looking for / Wherever I go and whatever I do
I was born to love you, I was born to love you / Looking in your eyes, yeah it’s all so clear / Every time you smile, I know why I’m here / Wherever I go and whatever I do / I was born to love you, I was born to love you,” the band sings in the chorus.
Produced by Jay Joyce, “Born to Love You,” tells the story of a guy who is lost in the world until he finds the woman that changes everything, making it clear that he was born to love her.
LANCO will kick off their first run of 2018 on Thursday Jan. 11 in Indianapolis, Ind., as part of Chris Young’s Losing Sleep Tour.
