You know that feeling you get when someone keeps making promises they never keep? That point you reach when you just can’t listen anymore. Well, country artist Leah Turner has put those exact feelings into words with her latest single, appropriately titled, “Blah Blah Blah.”

“After a ton of empty over promises being under delivered and my fair share of full glasses of wine mixed with a little whiskey, I took my heart to paper and all I was hearing was blah blah blah,” Leah tells One Country about her latest single.

The uptempo kiss off song, written by Leah, Jessica Cayne and Willie Breeding, has the California native singing about a relatable topic— hearing nothing but empty talk and being tired of the lies.

All I’m hearing is your blah blah blah / You run your mouth, I’m saying nah nah nah / you say there’s nothing you won’t do for me /  but I can’t listen, I’m like la la la / I’m standing over here like nah nah nah / your words mean nothing / they’re just words to me / all I’m hearing is your blah blah blah,” she sings in the chorus.

Leah, who was recently named on of 2019’s CMT Next Women of Country, was previously signed to Columbia Nashville, a part of Sony Records, releasing her debut single, “Take the Keys,” which hit No. 37 on the Billboard country chart. After parting ways with her record label, Leah released her self-titled EP in 2017, featuring the single “Sleep You Off.”

The finger-snapping, toe-tapping tune is the first taste of new music coming from the 32-year-old singer as she continues to make her mark on country music. If “Blah Blah Blah” is just a taste, we can’t help but be hungry for more.
