Soon after his debut as judge on “American Idol,” Luke Bryan has fled the country.
The “Light it Up” singer packed up his whole family and headed down under. Don’t worry, Luke’s not in trouble. He’s simply going to Australia to headline the CMC Rocks festival on Sunday March 18.
Luke will take some family time before his headlining performance. He also added two more shows while visiting the country. The first on March 16 at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena and the second on March 20 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. As an extra treat, Dustin Lynch will be the opening act during those shows. (Dustin will also be in Australia to perform at CMC Rocks).
The Georgia native hopped on a flight on Sunday (March 11) with wife Caroline and sons Bo and Tate in tow. What makes the trip even better is that Luke’s nieces, Kris and Jordan, and nephew, Til, will be joining them shortly. The trip will almost certainly become a family affair.
Caroline Bryan, Luke’s wife, took to Instagram to share the start of their 17 hour trip.
“Ready or not…here we come Australia! Tate just asked if we could play hide-and-go seek on the plane. ? I apologize…in advance…to everyone on this plane. #17hours Kris, Jordan, and Til please get here!!!!”
Bless their hearts. There’s nothing like a 17 hour plane ride to bring a family closer together. Good luck Bryans!
