This past Christmas in the Bryan house was a very special one, as Luke gifted his wife Caroline two baby kangaroos for her Brett’s Barn project. The ‘roos, Margo and Todd, named for the famed “Christmas Vacation” neighbors, seemed to be adjusting nicely to life with the Bryans– lounging by the fire, drinking milk from bottles, but barely a week into their new life, PETA issued a statement about them.

PETA Vice President Colleen O’Brien wrote, “Baby kangaroos belong in their mothers’ pouches, not in gift bags. These joeys have complex needs, including specialized diets and room to roam — they are not toys and will only become more difficult to care for as they grow older. PETA is calling for an investigation into where these kangaroos came from and stands ready to help Luke Bryan right this wrong and move these vulnerable marsupials to a reputable sanctuary.”

The Bryans never responded publicly and we never actually figured out where the kangaroos were going to be spending their days– until now.

Caroline recently shared new videos of Margo and Todd on her Instagram, showing Todd getting some dinner and then Margo and Todd getting ready for bed in their sacks. Caroline also shared a photo saying, “Margo and Todd… they aren’t quite ready for Brett’s Barn.”

However, Caroline did share a few new photos of animals totally ready and already living in Brett’s Barn and they’re beautiful.
