It’s no secret that Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton are good friends. They are the kind of friends that love to joke around with each other. So when Luke appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Tuesday night (March 6), he couldn’t resist taking a jab as his good buddy.

“I know you are close with Blake Shelton, did you reach out to him for advice?” asked Seth.

“Sadly I did, I don’t know why. I would recommend to never reach out to him,” Luke joked.

While Luke was on the show to promote his What Makes You Country album and his upcoming premiere as a judge on “American Idol,” he couldn’t resist taking another shot at Blake. Luke brought up the Sexiest Man Alive title and off they went.

“How did that go over in the country community when Blake was Sexiest Man Alive,” Seth asked.

“We were quite perplexed, but we got over it,” Luke replied. “No he is a beautifun man…from distance.”

Ok Blake, it’s your turn.

Luke went on to perform the song “Hooked On It” from his album What Makes You Country.

“First time I tied a plastic worm on and felt him on the other end / It was get the net, get him in the boat / Yeah buddy, I was hooked on it / First time I heard Chattahoochee on the speakers of my radio / I was topping off the tank on my old tune tone it / I was hooked on it,” Luke kicked off the song. That song definitely makes him country.

The 41-year-old singer will make his debut as “American Idol” judge when it debuts on Sunday, March 11 on ABC.
