Luke Bryan just turned the state of Rhode Island into his own personal Fenway Park.
I’ve been to Fenway Park when it seems like all of Boston’s favorite song in the universe is Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.” Fenway only holds around 40,000 people, but if it’s a big game and lots of people are wandering around outside of the stadium, it feels like everyone on the Eastern seaboard is singing along.
During Luke’s show at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence he led the crowd in what sounded like the entire state of Rhode Island singing along with him to “Sweet Caroline.” The arena only holds 12,000, but this sounds more like, I don’t know, a lot more than that.
Who knew Luke loved Neil Diamond this much?
Or maybe it was an ode to his lovely wife?
