In a relatively short period of time—short by music industry standards—Luke Combs has experienced an incredible amount of success. Releasing his major label debut, This One’s For You, in June 2017, Luke has scored four back-to-back-to-back No. 1 singles, including his first, “Hurricane,” and his most recent, “She Got the Best of Me.”
Now, Luke is on the cusp of what could be his fifth chart-topper, “Beautiful Crazy,” and if there are still any naysayers about his talent, he seems to smash their doubts with a new acoustic version of the classic waltz.
With melancholy guitar and gentle fiddle providing a textural contrast to Luke’s gritty, but sincere vocal, the scaled back production only further drives home the tender message of the love song, co-written by Luke, Wyatt Durrette, and Robert Williford.
Luke and longtime girlfriend Nicole Hocking were engaged late last year, but no announcement has been made yet about a wedding date. If his tour schedule is any indication, though, Luke is going to be slammed through May on the already successful headlining Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour.
If you don’t have tickets to see the singer-songwriter on this tour yet, good luck! Luke, along with LANCO and Jameson Rodgers, and Cody Johnson and Ray Fulcher on select dates, have already sold out 23 of the 28 tour stops, including the final show at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
