Although many young couples have postponed their weddings or chosen alternative virtual celebrations for their big day, Luke Combs and his fiancée, Nicole Hocking, are continuing to plan their nuptials, right down to the napkins.
Luke spoke with ET Canada and while he wouldn’t give up any specifics on the big day, he did say, “Things are still on track as of right now. That’s all I know as far as that stuff goes. We’re still planning on doing it.”
The singer went on to say that his area of expertise, when it comes to planning, falls more on the reception side. “I’m more of the booze guy,” he said. “Probably gonna dabble in some playlists, I’m sure that will probably happen.” He then added, “I’m just the good time engineer on this thing.”
Further inquiries into the wedding date rendered no results and Luke admitted that he may be playing his cards close to the vest regarding time and place. Previously, it was expected that he and Nicole would exchange their vows in March, but no specific date was ever confirmed.
In addition, Luke said that he spent his 30th birthday this year hiding in a closet as the devastating tornadoes in early March swept across middle Tennessee. Since then, he went to Europe before returning to Nashville where he immediately went into quarantine and has spent his time playing “Call of Duty” and watching movies on the couch. He jokes that, so far, his 30s don’t feel a whole lot different from his 20s.
Coming up in May, Jon Pardi and his fiancée, Summer Fawn Duncan, are scheduled to walk down the aisle in Montana.
