Maddie & Tae are quickly becoming known for writing compelling, coming-of-age songs that anyone can relate to, but especially women. The duo’s high-powered acoustic sound is deeply rooted in traditional country music, with fresh lyrics that are ready to take on the world.

Most recently, the singer-songwriters released “Sierra” as their fourth single from their debut album Start Here and they told the ladies of “The Talk” it’s about more than a mean girl named Sierra, “Everyone has had a situation where someone has told them they aren’t good enough or pretty enough or smart enough, so for us we kind of had to write this song to heal and to realize that people’s words don’t define who you are.”
