Margo Price is getting right back work, starting the new year off with a bang.

Margo and her band headed to New York City to perform the current single “A Little Pain,” from her album All American Made, on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

Margo, dressed in a sparkling mini-dress, danced her way through the song, even going so far as to take a little stroll down the aisle, to the delight of the audience.

The singer also took the opportunity to commandeer Colbert’s desk. She posted the photo of her and her band behind the desk on Instagram saying, “That was so much fun! I ❤️ NYC! Thanks @colbertlateshow for havin us back and thanks @billy_reid for fixin the guys in new suits. If you missed it, you can watch our performance of “A Little Pain” online.”

The song, written by Margo and Jeremy Ivey, is about Margo’s work life and what she has to go through to make it work. Something many of us can relate to no doubt.

“When I come I home, I’ve gotta leave / My reality is only make-believe / Someone said it’s one or the other / But I’m breaking my back and working like a mother / Who’s to say just how it’s done? / And a little pain never hurt anyone / A little pain never hurt anyone / A little pain never hurt anyone.”

You can catch Margo this year as she kicks off her headlining tour on January 20th in Louisville, Kentucky. Then on May19, 20 and 23, Margo will headline a few shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium .
