Mason Ramsey is dreaming of a white Christmas this year. Fittingly, the young singer has released a festive tune just in time for holiday.
On the revered holiday classic “White Christmas,” Mason’s interpretation showcases the young boy’s traditional country flair alongside a driving beat and stirring piano accompaniment. His endearing croon on the jazz infused track is bound to get everybody in the holiday spirit.
“‘White Christmas’ is the best holiday song and I’ve grown up listening to Michael Bublé’s version with Shania Twain,” Mason says in a statement. “It’s also a song in ‘Home Alone’ too – my favorite movie to watch at Christmas!”
Best known as Walmart boy, the 11-year-old rose to fame earlier this year after being discovered covering Hank Williams’ “Lovesick Blues” at a Walmart store in Illinois. The performance went viral, leading to a whirlwind year which included signing a record deal with Big Loud Records, the release of his debut EP “Famous” and an appearance on Good Morning America. The young star would go on to make a cameo during Florida Georgia Line’s Stagecoach set and also appeared at Coachella.
Mason is currently on his first tour opening for Chris Lane on the singer’s Laps Around the Sun Tour. In December, he’ll join FGL as part of their five-night Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. “White Christmas” follows the release of Mason’s debut country single, “Famous.”
