Congratulations and best wishes go out to Meghan Linsey and Tyler Cain. The couple has just announced the big news that they are engaged.

Meghan and Tyler, who also recently announced that they are moving forward as a musical duo as well, shared details of the engagement with People, including why it took place in Alaska.

The premise of the proposal was that the couple would be shooting their music video for “Nowhere With You” there. Meghan says, “We drove out to Homer, which is one of our favorite places and headed down to the beach at Land’s End. I thought we were just walking down to check out the location, but when we walked up, the videographer (Noah Douglass) was already flying the drone around us. I assumed he was just testing everything out, but it did seem a little strange. That’s when Tyler got down on one knee, and that’s when I knew. I’m not easy to surprise, but he got me!”

Meghan said yes, and Tyler popped a beautiful 2-carat antique cushion-cut peach morganite ring on her finger. Set in rose gold and surrounded by a halo of diamonds, Tyler designed the gem.

“Meghan is such a soulful, radiant and bold person that I wanted to find the perfect ring to fit her personality,” he said. “When I met Lindsay at Giador, I knew she was the perfect person to work with me to design something one-of-a-kind and unique.”

Although Meg and Tyler haven’t announced a date for the nuptials yet, they have some ideas for how they want their ceremony to feel.

“We’re very eclectic and DIY, I’d love to do something with a New Orleans flare to it,” Meghan says. “That’s where I’m from, and Tyler loves New Orleans too. It’s just who we are. I want to keep it small, and I don’t think either of us wants to do a big bridal party or anything like that. I definitely want to keep it low stress.”
