Just days after the finale of “America’s Got Talent,” one of the finalists found himself in hot water. Michael Ketterer, a fan-favorite finalist from this season of “AGT,” was arrested for domestic violence after getting into an altercation with his wife at a hotel.

“AGT” fans might recall that Ketterer had a song written for him by Garth Brooks for the show, and he was slated to perform with Garth Brooks at a sold-out show on October 20.

Now, following news of his arrest, Garth Brooks is confirming that Ketterer will no longer perform with him, saying they agreed “it was best” that Ketterer remove himself from the appearance.

“Called him this weekend, we talked. We decided it was better that he not appear at Notre Dame and not perform there,” Garth told viewers during an Inside Studio G Facebook Live session. “That family will figure it out and find it within themselves, and of course the good Lord, and figure it out. Michael Ketterer will not be at Notre Dame.”
