Morgan Evans introduced himself to the country world last year with the release of his debut U.S. single, “Kiss Somebody.” Now the Australian singer, and Kelsea Ballerini’s husband, is set to perform on ABC’s “The Bachelorette” on July 2 where he’ll sing the love song.
Morgan will appear on next week’s episode of “The Bachelorette” where he’ll sing for Bachelorette Becca Kufrin and one of the show’s contestants who is vying for her heart. The episode will air on July 2 at 8/7c on ABC.
“The Bachelorette” is currently in its 14th season. Becca, who was a contestant on this year’s riveting season of “The Bachelor,” was broken up with weeks after Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to her. She was initially chosen as the winner and accepted Arie’s proposal but by the time the season ended, Arie dumped her for the season’s runner-up.
Luckily, Morgan’s relationship with Kelsea played out more like an on-screen romance. The Australian met the “I Hate Love Songs” singer while co-hosting Australia’s Country Music Channel Awards in 2016 and proposed nine months later. They married on December 2, 2017 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Morgan is currently in the midst of his his 10 In 10 headlining tour where he performs his single, “Kiss Somebody” each night. The singer co-wrote the track with Chris DeStefano and Josh Osborne.
“I’m equal parts excited, nervous and proud to have this one out in the world today,” Morgan said upon releasing his single into the world last year. “Feels like the start of a new chapter for me and one I’m stoked to be entering. Hopefully people will turn it up, love it and maybe even kiss somebody too!”
Morgan moved to the U.S. from Australia three years ago. He was named the CMA Global Country Artist in 2015 and has seen songwriting success having co-written Eric Paslay’s latest single, “Young Forever.”
