Pistol Annies Celebrate Divorce in New Video For “Got My Name Changed Back” [Watch]

The long awaited music from the Pistol Annies has arrived and the ladies are celebrating divorce in their new video for “Got My Name Changed Back.”

“Got My Name Changed Back,” written by Miranda, Ashley and Angaleena, is a taste of what’s to come from the Pistol Annies third album, Interstate Gospel, out Friday Nov. 2. The song has Miranda singing about changing her name back after going through a divorce.

Well I’ve got me an ex that I adored / But he got along good with a couple road whores / Got my name changed back (yeah yeah) / I got my name changed back (yeah yeah) / I don’t wanna be a Missus on paper no more / I got my name changed back (yeah yeah)
(Here we go),” they sing in the chorus.

The video has Miranda, along with Ashley and Angaleena, in court testifying during her divorce proceedings. After all is said and done, the ladies, decked out in glamorous duds, pour some champagne and celebrate the ending of the marriage. They proceed to go to the DMV to change her name back and then to the bank to take out some money. But that’s not all, the party continues with a huge cake and a good ole Pistol Annies celebration.

The ladies performed the new single during their recent performance at the Ryman Auditorium, where Angaleena Presley introduced the song by saying that it was not written about any one in the group. To which Miranda replied, “She’s full of s***.”

“Got My Name Changed Back” is the first single from the highly-anticipated Pistol Annies Album, Interstate Gospel.
