Reba McEntire and her family have finally been able to lay her mother, Jackie McEntire, to rest in a small and simple ceremony in Oklahoma.
The McEntire matriarch passed away on March 14th, however, Reba, brother Pake and sisters Alice and Susie, were unable to receive the numerous mourners expected or to honor her with a public funeral due to ongoing concerns surrounding the rapid and far-reaching novel coronavirus. However, the family was able to gather recently for a graveside service and burial.

Reba shared photos of this intimate moment on her socials. Several family members were able to attend the ceremony where they surrounded Jackie’s casket that was flanked with beautiful sprays of spring flowers including roses, daisies, lilies and hydrangeas.
The country star also posted a photo of herself and her mother and wrote, “This is us always having each other’s backs. Tight knit family. She taught us that. #mama.”
