The hits from the coronavirus pandemic keep coming. Reba McEntire is the latest artist to cancel tour dates for 2020 and reschedule them for summer of 2021.
Following in the footsteps of artists such as Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Maren Morris, Reba revealed that the show will go on next year. Originally set to kick off on March 20 in Evansville, Indiana, the tour was postponed for later in 2020 when the coronavirus first hit. Now out of an abundance of caution the tour is moved again to next year.
In a video on Instagram, Reba made the announcement.
“Ya know we’re going to postpone our concert tour until next summer. I hate to do that but out of everybody’s well being we just want to make sure everybody stays safe and healthy that’s the A number one main thing. I’m gonna miss you all terribly. The band and crew and I, we’re really wanting to get back on stage but this is the best thing to do right now, unchartered territory.”

“I can’t wait to see everybody when we know it’s safe to gather again,” shares Reba. “We’ve worked so hard on this new show and I’ll be ready to go as soon as we get the green light!”
Previously purchased tickets will be honored for all dates. If fans are unable to attend the new dates they will receive an email explaining how to request a refund.
In the meantime, Reba is out promoting the updated music video for her timeless song “What If.”
“It is timely. The things that we are dealing wth now, we deal with it all the time. We just got to stay together and find a better way of doing things,” Reba said during a Today show interview.
