Reba McEntire to Announce 2018 ACM Nominees


Fourteen-time ACM Award winner and former ACM host, Reba McEntire will return to announce the 2018 Academy of Country Music nominations on “CBS This Morning.”

The announcement will be made on March 1 at 8a.m. ET. However, before Reba takes the stage for the long list of nominees, the Oklahoma native will go live on Facebook to reveal the nominees for ACM Song of the Year. Nancy O’Dell, host of “Entertainment Tonight” will announce additional ACM Award nominees on at 8:50a.m. ET.

Reba is no stranger the ACM’s, the “Fancy” singer has hosted the show a total of 16 various times—10 consecutive years, from 2001-2010 as a solo host and then partnering with Blake Shelton in 2011-2012. Dierks Bentley recently announced that he and Luke Bryan will not be returning as the show’s hosts, after hosting for two consecutive years.

“That’s over… We got fired,” Dierks announced. ” Is that not common knowledge? We won’t be back. We did it two years, and I love him to death. He’s one of my favorite people. I love the time we got to spend together. We had a lot of fun, obviously. It’s hard not to have fun with Luke. The ACMs are great. I had so much fun doing it. The ACMs have been so good to me.”

This years host or hosts of the award show have yet to be announced.

Airing live on CBS, the 53rd Annual ACM Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday on April 15, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. ET
