After 15 months without even the hint of new music coming, Sam Hunt has released “Downtown’s Dead.” The tune follows the mega-successful, multi-Platinum, GRAMMY-nominated, “Body Like A Back Road.”
With very little fanfare, Hunt deleted his entire Instagram feed and staring adding images of what seems to be a quaint Mexican village with the caption, “New single, out tomorrow…’Downtown’s Dead.'”
Hunt’s fans are going to love this one and country music traditionalists will recognize it’s much different than “Body Like A Back Road,” some might even say it’s more catchy– meaning, it could be just as big.
Again, the tune comes on the heels of Hunt saying he has no idea when an entire album will be ready.
Like most other Hunt songs, this one was co-written with osh Osborne, Zach Crowell and Shane McAnally.
