If you’ve been following Sam Hunt for a while, you’ll remember a few years ago, he went home to surprise his Granny before a show in Georgia.
His grandmother told a story about shooting squirrels and when Sam left, she said, “you better go before I cry.”
Since that visit, Sam has been nominated for every award under the sun, his debut album went triple-Platinum, he’s sold and streamed more songs than just about anyone in the last 2 years and his “Body Like a Back Road” hit has been sitting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart for more than half of 2017.
On top of that, Hunt’s 15 in a 30 Tour sold out Madison Square Garden this summer and his 82-year-old grandmother got to see him perform there first-hand.
The video shows Hunt at the piano singing “Gonna Make You Miss Me” and his grandmother fighting back tears at the sight.
And now, we’re fighting back tears.
