Scotty McCreery Looks Terrified Swimming with Sharks On His Honeymoon

Scotty McCreery proved his adventurous side several times during his honeymoon in Tahiti. While vacationing with his beautiful bride, Gabi, the “This Is It” singer took a rather daunting dive with sharks.

The North Carolina native shared photos of his deep dive in the ocean with fans on Instagram. “Humans are friends, not food,” he posted alongside three photos and a video of his excursion. An apt caption, he seems to be trying to convince the fellow sea creatures (and himself) of this fact.

In a selfie, Scotty’s eyes were wide in his goggles while behind him several sharks could be spotted. Additional photos and a short video clip show the sharks swimming beside his boat looking for food. Thankfully, Scotty wasn’t the target but you’d never guess it from the way the sharks swam beside his boat.

Scotty and Gabi have been enjoying some downtime in Tahiti following their wedding ceremony in June. Throughout their vacation, Scotty has been posting photos of the newlyweds relaxing in the picturesque waters of Bora, Bora. In addition to taking in the beautiful scenery, the newlyweds spent some time jet skiing around the island, hopping on a scooter for some additional exploring as well as having a romantic lunch nearby.

Scotty wed longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal on June 16 in an intimate ceremony in North Carolina surrounded by 200 of the couple’s family and friends. Gabi is the inspiration behind Scotty’s latest single, “This Is It,” which he penned with Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis. The couple first met in kindergarten and began dating in high school. His recently released “This Is It” lyric video features visuals from the North Carolina mountains where the singer proposed to Gabi during a hike in September of 2017. “This Is It” is the second single off his most recent album, Seasons Change, and follows Scotty’s first No. 1 hit, “Five More Minutes.”
