Country music has babies on the brain. With Lady A’s Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood, FGL’s Tyler Hubbard and many more bringing babies into the world recently, we just can’t get enough. Sugarland’s Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles are remembering their days with newborns and offering up some sound advice on baby rearing.
“You’ve gotta turn them over and over and over again until you find the directions. That’s my advice,” says Kristian. “They’re printed on there somewhere but you’ve just gotta look for ’em.” Very helpful advice from the dad of two.
“I think the instructions change as they go along,” adds Jennifer. “As they get bigger you start to get more information as they stretch.”
All joking aside, Jennifer recalled when her son Magnus, now 5-years-old, was just a wee one. “The newborn phase is such a sweet phase and I just kept Magnus super, super close,” Jennifer said. “I was like an attachment parent. They’re just so tiny and they can’t do anything and they just want to eat and sleep and so do you.”
There is no time for sleep for this dynamic duo as the prepare to head out on their 2018 Still the Same Tour, kicking off May 25 and releasing their first new album as a duo, in eight years.
