For Sundance Head, his life is about two things– music and family. It helps that he comes from a musical family.

Head’s dad, Roy Head, had the world’s biggest hit in 1965 with “Treat Her Right” on the Billboard chart. (If you don’t count the Beatles’ hit “Yesterday.”) For his duet with Blake Shelton during the live finals of “The Voice,” Head chose to sing that song with his father proudly singing along in the audience.

“I’m glad that we could thrill my dad. He’s getting old and he’s done so much for me,” said Head. “He was a real, old time-time rocker, and to be able to pay him back is special.”

Throughout the performance videos of his dad dancing and singing played behind him. Definitely a cool moment.

Though Shelton may have enjoyed it more. Hard to tell.
