Sundance Head, a 37-year-old father from Texas, had one hell of an evening being crowned the season 11 champion of “The Voice.

Before learning the results, Head shared with his coach Blake Shelton, “I just want to thank you for being such a great guy and being so sweet to me, man. I know you don’t have to do that. You do this for a job, you know, but you really are such a genuine person, man. I thank the Lord that he put you in my life.”

This was Shelton’s first win since season 7 and Craig Wayne Boyd.

After the show, Head revealed he voted for Team Alicia contestant We McDonald 10 times.

Head also got to perform with fellow season 11 contestants Austin Allsup and Courtney Harrell, doing a version of Cole Swindell’s “Aint Worth the Whiskey.”

And of course, there was that performance with Kiss too.
