Country stars get asked to collaborate on all kinds of fun things from liquors to sunglasses to favorite foods—let’s not forget Dwight Yoakam’s Bakersfield Biscuits. Thomas Rhett is the newest superstar to get involved in a cool collaboration, but this one is for a swimwear line.
Thomas is working with Chubbies to launch “The Rhettro Collection” — a limited-edition family swimwear line inspired, much like his Center Point Road album, by the singer’s favorite era, the 90s.
“How cool is it that I got to design a collection with a brand my whole family wears in real life,” he says. “I am a huge fan of Chubbies. They speak to my lifestyle on the road of warm weather, summer and fun. I am really loving what we put together.”
The matching tropical-colored collection features men’s swim trunks in sizes small to x-large, boy’s swim trunks in 12-months to 5T, a women’s one-piece in sizes x-small to x-large, and a girl’s one-piece, also sized from 12-months to 5T. The suits start at $49.50 and are available at the Chubbies website
T-Rhett also shot a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek promotional video to help promote the new fashion line. It’s worth noting that Thomas mentions that they are “just getting started” and that the trunks that he wears when he belly flops are not the same ones featured on the Chubbies’ site.
Fashion mogul? Maybe!
