One Country would like to extend their deepest condolences to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. In a post on his social media pages, Tim shared the sad news that Faith’s father, Wesley L. “Ted” Perry, passed away last week at the age of 88 in Franklin, Tennessee.

In the post on his Instagram page, Tim shares a video of his late father-in-law set to The Judds’ tune, “Grandpa.” In the caption, Tim shares a tender, heartfelt message.

“G Pa, Faith’s father passed away last week at 88 yrs old,” he wrote. “He was the sweetest, kindest most gentle man I’ve ever known…….No man in my life has ever made such an impact on me as to how to be a human, a father and a friend. I’ll never, in 10 lifetimes, be able to live up to his example, but man, he has set a mark that all of us should strive for. His legacy will live on through the 3 beautiful souls he raised, Faith and her brothers, Steve and Wesley…I’m sure a day will not pass for the rest of my life, that he will not show up in my thoughts. We all love you G Pa.”

According to his obituary in the Clarion Ledger, Mr. Perry passed away on February 5. It also sweetly remembers him revealing, “Ted never met a stranger. He enjoyed gardening and ‘game night’ at his church, especially playing dominos and he loved going to Donna’s Fruit Stand.”

The video that Tim shared features footages of Faith with her dad at one of the couple’s shows, as well as older footage that appears to be at home in Mississippi around the ice cream churn.

Faith, who is part of the new reality competition show, “The World’s Best,” has not posted on her socials since February 3, but is likely spending time with her family.

Again, our hearts go out to Faith, Tim, their daughters and the rest of the Perry family on this difficult loss.
