With the Nashville hosting the weekend’s NFL Draft events, it isn’t any surprise that the football- loving members of the country music community were up to their ears in pigskin magic. But we can’t find anyone who was as immersed in it as Tim McGraw.
Tim, who is usually surrounded by beautiful women—wife Faith Hill and their three lovely daughters—opted to kick off the first night of NFL fun with the boys—his nephews—at the kick- off of the weekend’s ceremonies. And much like the players who were dressed for their big announcements, the country star and his kin were dapper Dans as they took part in the festivities.
“Headed to the #NFLDraft with my nephews,” Tim wrote in an Instagram post.
Although Tim did play football in school, he also played baseball. And his famous father, Tug McGraw, went on to the big dance in MLB, so it was appropriate that the country star represented that sport by wearing his dad’s World Series ring.
As much fun as Tim was having with his nephews…it was also a real treat for him to get to meet some of the folks from the world of football. And yes, Tim is an LSU fan, but that didn’t take the magic out of speaking with Clemson’s Dabo Sweeney.
Things will shift significantly for Tim on April 26 when he goes from behind the scenes to the stage for a free concert in downtown Nashville to celebrate the second night of football fun.
“Had a great time hangin with Coach Vrabel of the @titans chatting about the #NFLDRAFT here in #Nashville this week,” Tim wrote on social media. “We’re gonna have fun Friday night at our show on Broadway!”
