It has been a couple of years since fans have had a new collection of music from Zac Brown Band, but the band has just announced that they will release a new album before the end of the year.
The Owl marks the sixth studio album for the Grammy award-winning band, and according to frontman Zac Brown, it’s been in the making since the release of their 2017 collection, Welcome Home.
“We’ve been working tirelessly on this album over the past couple years, ensuring every detail is perfect,” he says. “We are always pushing ourselves as musicians by blurring genre boundaries and incorporating all kinds of music we are personally inspired by, elevating what we are capable of as a group. This album will have something for everyone, The Owl is exciting, raw, and unexpected. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished on this record and can’t wait to finally share it with the fans.”
The Owl is set to drop on September 20, but fans can now hear the second single from the project, “Leaving Love Behind,” on the radio and at streaming services now. The first single from The Owl, “Someone I Used to Know,” came out last November and is also available for digital download and streaming.
Zac Brown Band is currently on The Owl Tour through October and fans will likely hear songs from their album during those performances. To get a full list of dates and ticket information, go to the Zac Brown Band website where you can also pre-order their new album.
