In case you haven’t noticed, we are smack-dab in the middle of Oscar season. Or awards season, whichever you prefer.
Currently, movie theaters are chock-full of grade-A movies, actors are wrapping up their press tours, humans everywhere are claiming to see movies they haven’t seen. Basically, the whole world is gearing up to see who will take home the most prestigious movie awards of the year.
This year, like every other, has presented some obvious and some surprise nominations. We’ve seen a lot (14, to be exact) of nominations for “La La Land,” which is no surprise, and a lot of nominations for “Moonlight,” which we didn’t really see coming.
And while it’s nearly impossible to pinpoint who and which movies are going to win this year, I can sure try.
