I don’t know about you, but I always wonder what I would do if I ran into a celebrity at a restaurant or out in public.

Would I ask for a picture? Would I play it cool and pretend like I didn’t see them? Would I pretend to be their best friend and ask to hang out? Would I faint?

Now, since I live in the great state of Arkansas, the chances of me casually seeing a celebrity walking around town are slim to none (unfortunately for me), but if you’re someone who lives in a big city like LA, those chances are pretty dang high. You may actually have a shot at running into a someone like, say, I don’t know, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (pop couple of the hour) hanging out.

Well, recently, a kid named Ricky had the unique (and incredibly exciting) opportunity of seeing pop queen Taylor and DJ king Calvin out on a date.

You lucky, lucky kid.

Now, after analyzing the situation, I’ve come to the conclusion that if I were in Ricky’s situation, I would probably faint or royally flub up my words while trying to introduce myself. I would be embarrassingly starstruck.

But, Ricky? He was a total pro.

The kid was impressively suave and chill about the whole situation. He simply sat down with the couple, snapped a pic and then posted it on Instagram with the caption, “Awesome dinner with mom and dad.”

Awesome dinner with mom and dad?

So, what have I learned from this whole situation? Be more like Ricky.
