At least we know Adam Wakefield isn’t scared of a challenge.

Most people wouldn’t be excited about covering Journey unless you’re a really fun wedding singer or the last performer of the night at a karaoke bar, but Wakefield took “Lights” and totally made it his own.

Wakefield sat down at the piano for most of his performance, but heading to the front of the stage to hit some really, really high notes. Every person in the audience was bobbin’ along and his coach, Blake Shelton, was smiling as big as we’ve ever seen.

The performance was even more impressive when you remember that he’s covered George Jones/Chris Stapleton, Willie Nelson and the Allman Brothers before this performance.
