Country Music Buzz

It seems like every week is a big week in country music. And that’s the way we like it! Here’s our weekly recap of everything (or a lot of) that happened this week.

“Nashville” More Than a Television Series. Who would have ever dreamed that playing the roles of Country music superstars on the ABC hit primetime drama “Nashville” would lead to becoming real-life chart-toppers with original music escalating to the top of sales charts? Not to mention live performances to sold-out crowds in major markets? Definitely not this cast, but that’s exactly what happened! Fan response has been over-whelming with the first-ever “Nashville” Concert Tour delivering over and above in Chicago; Washington, DC; Philadelphia and New York City, with sell outs at all stops.

Luke Bryan’s “Play it Again” Number 1. It’s a been string of number ones for Country music sensation Luke Bryan. In fact, a string of 10 number one singles and the forth from the album, Crash My Party. Bryan, who recently took home two trophies at the Billboard Music Awards, takes the top spot at country radio with “Play It Again,” making this his tenth career No. 1 single.

Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood perform “Somethin’ Bad” live on the Billboards Awards show and wow’d the audience! You see the video here:

Little Big Town Set to Host CMA Music Fest. The foursome hosted the jam-packed event last year and were asked to return. They made the announcement via video you can see here:
