Country Music Buzz

It seems like every week is a big week in country music. And that’s the way we like it! Here’s our weekly recap of everything (or a lot of) that happened this week.

Garth Brooks is being mysterious again. The BIG news of this week is news we don’t even know. But it is Garth Brooks. And some sort of “announcement.” So this. is. big. Any guesses what he is trying to tell us? See the image below:

Blake Shelton is making history again. Everyone’s favorite tweeter, “The Voice” coach and country music star, Blake Shelton, has broken his own record and made history once again with his 12th consecutive No. 1 single “My Eyes,” featuring Gwen Sebastian. Marking the most consecutive No. 1’s in monitored country airplay history, “My Eyes” is his 17th No. 1 overall and fifth single off his Grammy-nominated album Based on a True Story…. Shelton made history earlier this year when “Doin’ What She Likes,” originally broke the record, as his 11th No. 1 single in a row. “My Eyes,” one of Shelton’s fastest rising singles to date, raced to the top of the chart in only 11 weeks.

Miranda Lambert didn’t get just any old haircut, she got a Platinum haircut. Miranda Lambert haircut? Yep! Last night in Nashville, Miranda Lambert gathered with her closest friends to celebrate her latest album, Platinum, and its first No. 1 single, “Automatic.” Though everyone was there to celebrate Lambert’s success, they all left talking about somethin’ not so bad– her new haircut. Lambert revealed her new ‘do to much acclaim, much like her albums.

We’ve got exclusive concert photos of Dierks Bentley! If you are looking for an unforgettable night of music, fun and one really good looking, show-stopping performer– look no further than a Dierks Bentley concert. Country Outfitter had exclusive access at a recent show right up the road from us at the Arkansas Music Pavillion (aka the AMP). You can’t find these Dierks Bentley photos anywhere else!

Justin Moore covers Motley Crue’s “Home Sweet Home.  If you’re a fan of Justin Moore and Motley Crue today is the day you’ve been waiting for– the release of the single for Moore’s version of “Home Sweet Home.” Moore’s cover is the first single off the upcoming Nashville Outlaws: A Country Tribute to Motley Crue. And of course, Moore’s single features legendary frontman Vince Neil.

Colt Ford’s new music is now available. Colt Ford’s fifth studio album, Thanks for Listening, is finally here! The ‘hickhop’ album features duets with the biggest names in country music, including Keith Urban, Lee Brice, Justin MooreJerrod Neiman, and even Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame.

And that’s a wrap for this week! Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July!
