Country Music Buzz

It seems like every week is a big week in country music. And that’s the way we like it! Here’s our weekly recap of everything (or a lot of) that happened this week.

Maddie and Tae release video for “Girl in a Country Song”: This duo has created quite the buzz in country music with their recently released “Girl in a Country Song” and now we have something visual to go along with it. For those who haven’t heard about Maddie and Tae and their new hit, it offers a fresh and feminine perspective on the craze that is Bro Country.  The video, released on Thursday, pokes fun with a little bit of role reversal and a whole lot of sass.

ICYMI: Eli Young Band performs on David Letterman: Everyone’s favorite band from Denton, Texas, the Eli Young Band, hit up NYC and the “David Letterman Show,” where they kicked up some “Dust.”

LeAnn Rimes is releasing a dance album: LeAnn Rimes recently announced that she is releasing a new album this summer. Due out on August 5, it’s slated to be a remix collection of her greatest hits called Dance Like You Don’t Give a…Greatest Hits Remixes.  This will make 19 albums for LeAnn!

Love and Theft release a fun new video: In the new Love and Theft video for “Night That You’ll Never Forget” the boys show us just how hard they party.  This fun-filled video featured some pretty special friends of theirs too, including Maggie Rose and Parmalee.  Basically, this video just wants us to hang out with these boys even more.

Jason Aldean heats things up with “Burnin’ It Down” single: Jason Aldean certainly gets straight to the point with his new single, “Burnin’ It Down.” To write and produce the song he collaborated with a few talented country music songwriters and the boys in Florida Georgia Line.  Although the upcoming album release date hasn’t been announced, judging from this single, it is going to spread like wildfire!

Chris Young Takes No. 1: Chris Young is golden! His latest single, “Who I Am With You,” sits atop the Mediabase Country Singles Chart, it has been certified Gold, and he’s spending the summer doing what he loves most, on the road performing for the fans. This makes 6 #1 songs for this guy, and if you haven’t had a chance to see one of his shows, we highly suggest you try and check one out.

And that’s a wrap-up of all of the exciting things happening in country music this week! Have a good weekend!
