Gwen Stefani‘s carpool karaoke ride with James Corden on the “Late Late Late Show with James Corden” started off like any other afternoon trip across town. James put on some No Doubt and then started asking for beauty secrets. Specifically, James asked if Gwen ages. She said she’s just in love.

Things got weird when the two tried to sing along to Gwen‘s “The Sweet Escape.” The tune was originally released in 2006 and does feature some interesting turns of phrase.

Eventually, the two got into some deep talk over emojis before diving into Gwen’s new album and deeply emotional single, “Used to Love You.”

Halfway through the ride and in the middle of “Rich Girl” James learned he needed to add two more people to the carpool so they could use the HOV lane. Of course, James called up George Clooney, who called James a pain in the ass before calling up Julia Roberts to join them.

Watching George and Julia buckle up in the backseat is one of the simplest and funniest things to ever be on TV. That is until all four people in the car sing and dance to “Hollaback Girl.” George also tries to explain the meaning of a hollaback girl too.
