Idina Menzel has been a household name to Broadways fans since she originated the role of Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical “Rent.” She played the same role in the film adaptation and solidified her status as a legend for originating the role of Elphaba in the Broadway musical “Wicked.” She lent herself to the mainstream when she took on a reoccuring role on the TV show “Glee” and then, of course, became every child’s most favorite singer ever as the voice of Elsa the Snow Queen in the Disney film “Frozen,” where she sang the Academy Award-winning song, “Let It Go.”
All of that to say, she’s got a recognizable voice. So, what happens when she lends that voice to singing classic holiday movie quotes?
Shooting your eye out doesn’t seem so terrible when she sings it like that.
